A young boy in the wilderness, meets a variety of quirky animals, including a playful duck, a mischievous cat, and a curious bird. Peter’s grandfather scolds him for being outside past the gates, warning of the dangers of the wolf nearby…
The story of Peter and the Wolf is enchantingly brought to life through the silent film being accompanied by a live performance of the expressive music of Prokofiev and we are delighted to present some of Essex’s finest young musicians who will be brought together as the Essex Youth Chamber Orchestra to present this performance.
Our flagship Youth Orchestra is made up of young people who all found a passion for learning a musical instrument from a young age, and performances like this are an important way to bring the joy of live orchestral music to inspire the next generation of musicians to start their own musical journey.
