O-Generator has been developed to provide a simple and engaging experience for all students. It particularly caters for those students who are required to have music lessons at school but may not be instrumentalists or read music. O-Generator contains 4 core sections for music development: create, learn, play, group.


 

TEN PIECES CPD DAY – 16 April

Following the success of the pilot CPD Day held in December the BBC Symphony OrcheBBC Ten Piecesstra are once again offering free CPD for primary school teachers focusing on using Ten Pieces with KS2/P5-7.

Taking place at the BBC’s Maida Vale Studios on Monday 16 April 2018, the day is designed for primary school music teachers and specialists and will be led by members of the BBC Symphony Orchestra and music leader Patrick Bailey.

Activities will include learning how to create music using the Ten Pieces resources and getting tips for conducting and performing the arrangements. Find out more about the day and how to apply on the BBC Symphony Orchestra Website

If you will be attending the Music and Drama Education Expo on the 22nd-23rd February come and say hello at the BBC Ten Pieces stand along with the BBC Bitesize team and Kerry Andrew will be doing a Fireside Chat at 1.15pm on the 22nd.  Please do keep us posted on your Ten Pieces activities by emailing tenpieces@bbc.co.uk.


PERFOMRING ARTS TEACH MEET

FREE TEACHMEET is an informal event for Performing Arts teachers to share ideas, strategies, tools or topics through a number of 2-3 minute mini-presentations. Keynotes will be presented by OCR, AQA and WJEC and time will be provided to ask questions.

Each subject will have its own specialist sessions dedicated to either dance, drama and music.

It’s the perfect opportunity to share, network and learn with your peers in a relaxed setting; share exciting ideas you have applied to your teaching and leave with new ideas to apply in your lessons.
