Are you looking to review your music provision in light of the New Ofsted Framework? If so, a *MIDAS visit maybe worth considering.
The visit is a meeting held at your school between an Essex Music Services Manager, the music subject leader and a member of the Senior Leadership Team to review the school’s current music provision and vision for the subject in the wider school setting.
Together we discuss any gaps in provision and what future developments you would like to see in the subject and from this we jointly draw up a plan of suggested action and support. This stays confidential between Essex Music Services and the school.
Following visits in the Autumn term this year, we have developed our CPD offer to schools to be in line with what schools currently need. One of the real pleasures of conducting MIDAS visits is celebrating the wonderful practise and musical opportunities available to the young people of Essex.
We are also looking to run MIDAS sessions with clusters of schools which will allow schools to build local support networks and to share ideas and performance opportunities. Look out for sessions running in your area soon.
