Essex Youth Orchestra at Easter

Following its egg-cellent Easter course held at Felsted School in Essex in early April 2018, the Essex Youth Orchestra performed at the prestigious Saffron Hall concert Hall in Saffron Walden on 12 April 2018.

This concert celebrated Bernstein’s 100th birthday with a splendid performance of the Symphonic Dances from West Side Story and also the music of Dvorak with his Cello Concerto. The soloist in the concerto was  Bozidar Vukotic who commented “I really enjoyed playing with the EYO last week. I was very impressed by the energy and enthusiasm of the students and it was a pleasure to perform in Saffron Hall”.

“Thanks to everyone (especially Robin) -we thought it one of if not the best EYO concert we have been to.” Catherine Newcombe, audience member
